A team built to utilize the signature Pokémon Mega Charizard X. It started with Stealth Rock setters to allow Charizard to pass through and multiple physical attackers, but in the middle of the season, feeling the absence of special attackers, it was replaced with Greninja and Primarina to complete the final form.
Mega Charizard X: An ace that endures opponent's attacks, stacks Dragon Dance, and defeats all. Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw, and Dragon Dance are fixed, and the last slot adopted Roost, which can recover from Stealth Rock and respond to Sucker Punch (weighed against Thunder Punch and Earthquake). Second highest pick rate on the final day (91%, 69/76 matches).
Kingambit: A lead and Focus Sash attacker. The key pattern is to start the game by hitting Hippowdon with Dragon Tail, forcing it into the range of Swords Dance + Sucker Punch. Highest pick rate on the final day (95%, 72/76).
Garchomp: Finisher. Showed high firepower, such as defeating Mega Gyarados with Stealth Rock and Kingambit's Sucker Punch after Swords Dance. Even if Garchomp was one-shot by a Choice Scarf Meowscarada, it was frequently able to turn the tide by being sent out later and stacking Swords Dance. Fourth highest pick rate on the final day (42%, 32/76).
Greninja (Life Orb): A card to counter Blaziken with high-speed, wide-range moves. Originally special attack-focused, but after advice that most Staraptor are max speed, it was changed to max speed and could be used against almost all opponents except defensive types. Third highest pick rate on the final day (50%, 38/76).
Metagross: A card adopted without much thought for wall breaking and coverage. If it wins the speed tie against Mega Staraptor, it can one-shot with Psychic Fangs, but in practice, it consistently lost speed ties. Sixth highest pick rate on the final day (8%, 6/76).
Primarina (Sitrus Berry): A dedicated card for countering the Garchomp, Umbreon, and Gengar combination, only deployed against opponents including this combination. Fifth highest pick rate on the final day (14%, 11/76).
Garchomp + Charizard + (Kingambit or Greninja) is the basic selection. Against the Garchomp + Umbreon + Gengar combination, Garchomp + Primarina is used, and against wall builds, Metagross is added as the second pick.
Choice Scarf Meowscarada (manageable alone, but the Focus Sash Garchomp behind it is very threatening), Staraptor, Umbreon other than the Garchomp + Umbreon + Gengar combination (no counter), HB Hippowdon (too bulky), Slowbro (calmly sets up Iron Defense in front of Charizard, threatening).
