Team Concept

The team is centered on an Iron Defense + Body Press Metagross that an acquaintance used, but Agility and an EV readjustment were added to cover its weakness of being set up on by fast, Special-oriented Megas and its lack of firepower. As support, it adopted a Hisuian Samurott that supports with Stealth Rock/hazards, a flexible utility pick Gengar that can be freely selected, a Primarina capable of broad matchup coverage, and a Corviknight placed alongside Gengar to confuse the opponent.

Piloting

With Metagross+Garchomp as the basic axis, the team aims for an easy win by stacking boosts in favorable matchups, and the key is judging every turn whether to lay Stealth Rock or hazards, and whether to use Earthquake or Dragon Tail. A lack of an answer to a utility Mimikyu and excessive reliance on Metagross were the limits of the result.
