This is a face-to-face-oriented build that keeps only Mega Mawile as the Mega and covers Mawile's weaknesses with the rest of the team made up of non-Mega, highly versatile Pokémon. Substitute-holding Garchomp is strong against Hippowdon, Charizard-Y, and Scovillain; Primarina is strong against Fire types in general plus Hippowdon and Sajabi; Paralysis+Curse Mimikyu is strong against Aegislash, Grass-type Megas, and Baton Pass-type Pokémon; Rotom (Heat Form) is strong against Metagross and Scizor; and Hippowdon takes on Mega Blaziken, Charizard-X, and mirror Mawile match-ups.
Mawile is the main dealer selected in nearly every match, and it deliberately does not learn Swords Dance, using this as a mind game to make the opponent make unnecessary decisions out of wariness for Swords Dance. Against opponents where HP management is important (Mega Gyarados, Meowscarada, etc.), the standard order is to chip away first with other Pokémon before bringing in Mawile.
