Team Concept

I built this team around my favorite Pokémon, Mega Sceptile, adding Hippowdon for Stealth Rock support. To counter Pokémon like Floette, Charizard Y, Corviknight, and Scizor, which are strong against the Sceptile + Hippowdon core, I included a Ceruledge with Flash Fire. To address Steel-types and Mimikyu, which Sceptile struggles against in direct matchups, I added Mega Scovillain as my second Mega. Primarina was included to counter Urshifu + Metagross and Ninetales (Alola) + Garchomp archetypes, and Wide Lens Archaludon was added to deal with Calm Mind Fairy types, completing the team.

Operation

Sceptile can re-deploy even after a Special Attack drop from Parting Shot, reducing risk. The basic strategy is to first apply pressure with Stealth Rock and Yawn from Hippowdon, then send in Sceptile or Ceruledge. Ceruledge enters after Scovillain has drawn out Fire-types, maximizing its firepower with a combination of burn and Sunny Day.
