Here is information about the participation categories for official competitions.
Official competitions in 2026 will be held divided into the categories below.
Categories (Age Divisions)
Junior Category: Born in 2014 or later
Senior Category: Born from 2010 through 2013
Master Category: Born in 2009 or earlier
Some official competitions may also be limited to a specific region or participation Category (age division).
Official competitions held in the 「Online Competition」 section of 「Pokémon Champions」 can be entered based on the 「Country/Region」 and 「Birth Year and Month」 you have set in 「Pokémon Champions」.
How to Set Your 「Country/Region」 and 「Birth Year and Month」
A settings screen is displayed when you first start 「Pokémon Champions」.
Please select and enter the region of the competitions you wish to enter and your own birth year and month.
If you wish to change your set 「Country/Region」, you can do so under 「Battle」→「Online Competition」→「Change Region」.

What Is an Official Competition?
Competitions held officially, such as online competitions or in-person events, are called official competitions.
Official competitions are special competitions in which you battle under a designated rule set.
Details of the schedule and competition rules will be announced through 「News」 at the time of the event.
